Window is an ESG risk tool for fund managers and investors. Instead of relying on what companies say, Window analyzes textual data online to produce risk scores based on what they actually do.
Current Status
A PoC is complete. An initial outreach and marketing campaign has drummed up some interest, and we are going through our first couple of sales calls.
Problem or Opportunity
Fund managers face increasing pressure to measure the ESG risk of their portfolios.
While ESG ratings providers exist, they produce risk scores based on public disclosures, which introduces lag time and lacks reliability, focus exclusively on public companies, or seek to measure risk based on industry sector.
Instead of relying on what companies say, or painting all energy companies as per se "risky," Window measures ESG risk by examining what companies actually do, as reflected by public discourse across the internet.

Window analyzes web articles and messages using natural language processing and machine learning, reading signals from billions of qualitative sources to reach a sentiment score for a fund manager’s portfolio company across the leading ESG risk frameworks.
